Writing Essays The idea is that if you can get in the habit of writing three pages a day, that it will help clear your mind and get the ideas flowing for the rest of the day. Unlike many of the other exercises in that book, I found that this one actually worked and was really really useful. It’s a way to motivate them to get the book done. It works well for me, but I know others who don’t do well with it. I think it depends a lot on your personality, but forcing myself to be consistent day in and day out helps me get my books done. Without a daily word count, I would never complete them. What am I supposed to do if I write 1000 words, but it doesn’t make the number of pages I want? To help them from getting stuck and editing each sentence over and over again as they write, they choose a minimum number of words they want to write each day. These words may not be perfect and will likely need to be heavily edited, but it gets the ideas down and keeps them from getting stuck on one area of their book. Generally, rush jobs are priced at $1.00 to $3.00 more per page, depending upon just how tight the deadline is . If you work for a company, your rate of pay will be set by the company if you are considered an employee. However, if you bid on projects, don’t expect a great deal more freedom, especially at first. If you work for a good company, expect to earn about 30%-40% per page what they charge the clients. I only need to write 250 words and you don’t have how many pages that is on your list. If you are given a writing assignment with a page number, the best thing to do is go directly to the person who made the assignment and ask for a word count. This will take away all the variations and help ensure your writing assignment meets expectations. I write longer words than most, so most of my pages have less words than the estimates on this page. You should change them so they are more accurate for people who use longer vocabulary words. Do you know what fonts have the widest spacing so that they fill up the page more quickly? I need to find a wide font so I don’t have to write as many words to fill up the pages on my assignment. If it’s not something important to you and your writing, you can ignore it. Some of us get marked down points if we do not hit a certain word count or page count. If I’m assigned a paper and it has to be a minimum number of words, I worry about hitting that number. I have a writing assignment in school, and it is always helpful to know how many pages I will need. I think that since teachers don’t give page assignments but only word count assignments, it’s difficult to imagine how many pages that will be. I wrote an essay of 1550 words and it was barely 4.5 pages . I have a paper with ~2800 words and it is 3 lines past the 4th page. Aye how many words do I have to put if I’m typing a 14 page essay. I agree that there are a lot of people who are overly concerned with word count, but there are legitimate reasons to keep it in mind as well. I don’t think I should have to write more words just because mine happen to be shorter than my classmates. We both wrote the same number of words, his are just longer so it takes up more pages. That means people who write long words have an advantage even though long words aren’t always good to use. Just because an estimate won’t be exactly right doesn’t mean it isn’t useful. For those who are looking for a basic rough idea, this is helpful. If it’s for something informal and you simply need a general guideline, you can find it below. Another way to set the rate of pay is to charge more for projects that are due in a short time. These “rush jobs” tend to be priced higher than non-rush jobs, for obvious reasons. While you don’t want to take advantage of a client’s panic or desperation, the reality is that they will usually be willing to pay more if time is short. For that matter, you deserve to be paid more as well, since you will most likely have to juggle some things or pull an all-nighter to make it happen. If you can send me in the direction of the best wide font to do this, that would be great. Depending on the genre of book you are writing, word count can be critical in whether or not your writing can actually be published. Publishers like certain genres to be within certain word counts, so any author who hopes to be published has to create their works within these counts. Many authors use word count as a motivational tool.

Us Essay Writers Try to create an introduction that captures the target reader; and don't let the target reader second guess what you’re trying to say. Next, copy and paste the APA reference into the reference section of your essay. A simple way to write your reference section is use Google scholar. Don't just write a shopping list of brief evaluation points. Instead make sure you expand on your points, remember, quality of evaluation is most important than quantity. Evidence of independent thinking, insight and evaluation of the evidence. Each paragraph should comprise a main theme which are illustrated and developed through a number of points . As a general rule make sure there is at least one citation (i.e. name of psychologist and date of publication) in each paragraph. Just type the name and date of the psychologist in the search box and click on the 'cite' link. The reference section is the list of all the sources cited in the essay . Finally, only repeat citations when it is unclear which study / theory you are discussing. Repeating citations unnecessarily disrupts the flow of an essay. When you have finished the first draft of your essay you must check if it 'flows'. The importance of community participation when reintegrating inmates into society Essaypilot

Introduction During the reintegration of ex-convicts in the Toronto community, some supports are offered to the ex-offenders. The support provided is because many released inmates tend to adopt addiction and psychological problems, and some of these newly released inmates are homeless. They are mostly incapacitated when it comes to looking after themselves and doing activities such as cooking, replace documents, anger management, and lack required skills for jobs. The community aims to prevent the ex-convicts from returning to their old ways and engage in crime such as gun violence, drug dealing, child exploitation and robbery. A reintegration center has been established in the Toronto community known as John Howard Society of Toronto. The institution provides programmes that focus on reintegration, intervention and crime prevention in a judgment-free environment. Peers and staff endeavor to educate the newly released inmates on tools reducing harm in an overdose prevention. There is the provision of food such as coffee and snacks, and provision of other essentials such as access to telephones, clothing, and shelter. The facility has established a partnership with the African Canadian Legal Clinic to help the men. The Toronto reintegration center provides a solution to the problems that newly released inmates are likely to experience when out of jail (Novac, Hermer, Paradis, Kellen, 2009). The issues are such as the unavailability of affordable housing in the areas surrounding prisons. Another problem is that there is no addiction treatment centers and shelters set up for these men.During their transition in the community, these ex-convicts experience challenges because of their criminal record. The newly released inmates undergo difficult time in reconnecting with their friends and family in the society. Some of these family and friends may not want to be associated with former offenders and in result disowning the ex-convicts. In situations where the previous offenders have to look for a place to stay, they may be forced to beg or fight to receive housing and other social services. The ex-convicts have to beg or fight for services because their criminal record causes reluctance from the community service providers in offering services to them. Former offenders are discriminated against when it comes to job employment. They are stigmatized by the employers because of their criminal records. The community harbors the mentality that former offenders are prone to dishonesty and cannot be trusted. Additionally, some will be denied employment on the mere fact that they have legal obligations such as attending probation thus having to miss work at some point. The former inmates m ay experience psychological torture when isolated and forced to live away from other members of the community as these members fear and tend to keep away from the former inmates. Conclusion In creating a safe community, a positive involvement of the population is needed. Employers should provide job opportunities to ex-convicts. Employment programs equip former employers with skills that can be applied in various industries in Toronto. Through employment, the ex-convict can earn a living and can support himself. Thus the chances of him re-offending reduces because most ex-convicts who re-engage in crime do so because they have no money to sustain themselves. The community should embrace ex-offenders and offer moral support and give them a second chance. Acceptance from the community members act as motivation for ex-offenders to stay on the legal side of the law. Reference Novac, S., Hermer, J., Paradis, E., Kellen, A. (2009). A revolving door? African Americans And The American Dream - 1355 Words

The 1950’s were a time of happy days as idealized by the popular television series of the time. The â€Å"American Dream† was becoming a reality for all, or so it seemed. Unfortunately, life for one portion of the population of the United States was less than desirable. Although they received full citizenship and all its benefits with the passing of the 13th, 14th and 15th amendments, African Americans led a life that was subpar to that of their white counterparts. Their American reality tainted their American dream. When there is a denial of freedom, those wanting will seek freedom passionately. African Americans found the strength to fight the oppressive system they survived in for years. The Constitution and its subsequent amendments spell out the rights of all Americans. The 13th -15th amendments ended slavery, granted the former slaves citizenship and the right to vote. The Reconstruction Era saw an emergence of African Americans in politics and positions of power â€Å"Sixteen blacks sat in Congress from 1867-77.† (ushistory.org, 2014)The former slaves wanted to be a part of the country they had helped to build. However, the journey to equality was going to be a long one. Reconstruction offered new hope that the people of African had never seen in this country. Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony Fourth Movement

Question: Discuss about theBeethovens Ninth Symphonyfor Fourth Movement. Answer: Summary of Ã… ½iÃ… ¾eks Argument in the Article and the Video In the video, Zizek acknowledges that the Ninth Symphony is usually taken for granted by various people as a form of an ode to people. Similarly, Zizek asserts that the Ninth Symphony is perceived as an ode to every individuals freedom and the brotherhood. Zizek draws the viewers attention or focuses on the Ninth Symphony because he uses it as an ideal ideological container. For instance, in the article Zizek argues that the song was used as a nationalist anthem for Nazis, and at the same time, it was used as a communist song by the Soviet Union. Similarly, the tune was used when the Cultural Revolution happened in China. In essence, Zizek is telling humanity that ideology is a very unconscious fantasy that shapes individuals reality whether they recognize it or not (Zizek, 2007). Zizek discusses Ode to Joy of Beethoven from the Ninth Symphony, as well as how various people have embraced it. He argues that people with diverse political ideologies acknowledged the Ninth Symphony including the Nazis, pro-apartheid Rhodesians, Peruvian guerilla warriors, and the current European Union. Ideology, according to Zizek must be an unfilled container that is open to all kinds of interpretations. As such, despite the apparent brotherhood message in the Ode to Joy, the Beethoven was always practicing an ideology critique. Zizek further asserts that when a particular group unites together in brotherhood, there must be an exclusion of someone else and Beethovens job is to state that exclusion. In both the article and the video, Zizek asserts that Beethovens Ninth Symphony was a tune that was favorable to the Nazis. Currently, the tune is the European Unions unofficial anthem. Equally, Perus renowned Communist Party called the Shining Path viewed the tune as an ode to various proletariats. Moreover, the tune was a theme that kept on recurring in A Clockwork Orange. According to Zizek (2009), the tune is very prominent and famous in Die hard. Hence, Zizeks argument was revolving at finding out how a single artwork can be used by many varied ideologies for extremely different purposes. Response to the Statement I agree with Zizek that music is more than a supplication or learning a language and it is also more than merely something people listen to for pleasure. According to Zizek, the Ninth Symphony is used to give voice to critiques of various ideologies, for instance, the tune notes that millions come together to embrace one another, but the ones that are not happy can steal their weeping away. Through the tune, Zizek was showing people that as Europe was making final adjustments in Lisbon for a continental solidarity, the Turks were not embraced because of their ideology. Additionally, when East German and West German Olympic teams were coerced to compete jointly, gold medals were given to the Ode to Joy strains in lieu of any national anthem. The Ninth Symphony was used as the anthem, the same way it was used during Ian Smiths Rhodesian regime. References Jones, J. (2013).
